Indian Cops who won at the 54th Asian Body Building and Physique Sports Championship

Body Building is all about building body’s strength and endurance through perseverance, hard work and dedication. Men in Indian Police and Army have always brought laurels to India at National and World Body Building Championships despite having the most difficult work regimens. The 54th Asian Body Building Championship has seen Indian Cops from different parts of the country winning Medals for India through rigorous trainings overcoming the challenges in their personal and professional lives.

Assistant Police Inspector Subhash Pujari from Navi Mumbai

API Subhash Pujari at 54th Asian Body Building and Physique Sports Championship

Assistant Police Inspector Subhash Pujari (40) deputed at Highway Safety Patrol of Navi Mumbai Traffic Department’s Palaspa unit has won Gold Medal in the 80 Kgs category at the 54th Asian Body Building and Physique Sports Championship. Prior to this victory, Subhash pujari had also won laurels in 2021 last year by winning bronze medal at 12th World Body Building and Physique Sports Championship in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Besides this, Pujari had also won Gold Medal at state level in 2021, at the 11th Masters Bodybuilding Competition held by Maharashtra Bodybuilding Association in Kharghar. Pujari had also been the Captain of Bodybuilding team of Maharashtra Police.

Pujari has been dedicating 6 hours daily, 3 hours each in the morning and at night for his workout at the gymnasium while doing his duty as well and has always followed a strict diet regime to maintain a healthy body. Pujari was trained by well know bodybuilder and trainer Sunit Jadhav. During the pandemic when gymnasiums were shut down, Pujari ensured uninterrupted training by purchasing gym equipment at home.

UT Police Inspector Baldev Kumar from Chandigarh

UT Police Inspector Baldev Kumar (53) has won Gold Medal in the Men’s above 80 Kg weight category, 50 to 60 years age group at 54th Asian Body Building and Physique Sports Championship. He is posted in the traffic wing of Chandigarh police. Baldev Kumar has been bringing laurels at various bodybuilding championships at national and international levels. Before this, he had also won a bronze medal at the 12th World Body building and Physique Sports Championship in Tashkent, Uzbekistan held last year. He has also won Silver medals at 11th World Body Building and Physique Sports Championship and 53rd Asian Body building and Physique Sports championship in 2019, Indonesia in 80 to 90kg weight category.

Baldev Kumar who joined Chandigarh Police in 1995. He is very particular about his fitness regimen and diet. Baldev Kumar has been a sports enthusiast and has also represented Chandigarh police in All India Police games. He is an ardent fitness enthusiast who encourages others and serves as an inspiration icon to follow a healthy lifestyle.

Adyar Purushothaman Head Constable at Chennai

Adyar Purushothaman (42), a head constable attached to the Greater Chennai Traffic Police has won Bronze medal in the Master Men’s Body building 40-49 years above 80 kg category in the 54th Asian Body Building and Physique Sports Championship. Purushothaman had participated in several other national and international championships as well. He won 6th position in 2021 at the 12th World Body Building and Physique Sports Championship in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

He is also selected to participate in the 13th World Body Building and Physique Sports Championship to be held in Phuket, Thailand from 6th to 12th December, 2022.
