The Importance of Quality Fitness Equipment While Training

The idea of fitness and wellbeing has undergone a paradigm shift in India in the last 10 years. With growing awareness, people have understood the importance of fitness in their lives. In order to stay fit and healthy, 9 out of 10 people head towards the gym or set up a home gym.  Be it the type of body they want, choice of food, the type of exercises, etc. the youth of today has a clear picture of what they want to achieve when it comes to fitness. Moreover, due to the pandemic, people have begun to strive harder to improve not just their physical health, but also their mental well being. Following a fitness routine worked as motivation and offered relief when people were going through depression, anxiety and panic attacks. For many, meditation was also a way to get fit. That means – exercising in order to cleanse their mind and soul, and replace the negative thoughts with the positive ones.

Now while people have understood the importance of fitness, what they haven’t realised is the importance of Quality fitness equipment.

People opt for cheap gyms and cheap equipment for home gyms in order to save money. Most individuals have a mindset that the quality of gym equipment is not important, exercising is. However, this is the biggest myth the world is living with. The quality of the gym equipment is as important as working out – here are the 5 reasons why:

  1. Injury:

When people pick cheaper equipment over quality, the equipment gets damaged very easily and in a very short time, that can lead to an injury which will ultimately stop you from achieving your fitness goals. The moment you decide to make fitness a part of your life one should always remember that safety comes first and in order to stay safe – Never Compromise on Quality.

  1. Efficiency:

Before buying any fitness equipment the state of efficiency should be considered important. The element of risk will only increase with a lower efficiency equipment. Low quality products are liable to malfunction. A good, high-quality equipment is always efficient meaning it helps in controlling your muscle by controlling the force that is moved to the muscles and joints thereby making it a safe and efficient workout.

  1. Warranty and Durability:

If you choose cheap gym equipment in order to save money, what you really miss out on is the durability and the warranty of the product.

In such cases, products do not last very long and in the event of a damage, these products cannot be repaired or exchanged. This eventually leads to higher costs being incurred. On the other hand, buying good quality and branded equipment can help you get some great deals in terms of warranty and policies on the product bought. So although you might be spending a few extra bucks on good equipment, the ROI is, more often than not, worth it.

  1. Competitive Performance

When athletes practice with low quality equipment that has inaccurate weight or bad tolerance, it affects their performance as the weight labelled on it is often incorrect and hence misleading. This reduces the intensity of practice session workouts, in turn inhibiting growth, development and ultimately vigor and power that is crucial for athletic or sports competitions.

  1. Consistency Level:

Nowadays a lot of people have setup a home gym in order to stay fit. Whether its a home gym or a commercial gym, good quality equipment remains crucial. A fitness enthusiast will never compromise on consistency when it comes to workout. Poor quality equipment can never match the consistency level of a fitness enthusiast.

There could be breakdowns or damage bringing a halt to the workout regime, and disrupting the consistency. To stay consistent and safe while working out one should never compromise on the quality of the equipment.
