Rajendran Mani Wins SVAYAMBHU Shree 2016 – Complete Results

Rajendran Mani from Tamil Nadu won the Svayambhu Shree Title in  fierce competition where 30 of India best bodybuilders we competition. He closely defeated Kiran Patil who came in second and Mr India runner up Yatinder Singh who came third. The competition was so close that the judges has to call multiple comparison after the 7 compulsory poses were complete.

With this victory, Mani bagged the prize money of six lakh rupees. This is the biggest prize money in the history on Indian Bodybuilding for an Indian event. (Mr International India had the prize money of ten lakhs rupees, but that was held outside of India in Dubai). Second place winner Kiran Patil got 3 lakhs rupees and 3rd place winner Yatinder Singh won 2 Lakh rupees.

Deepankar Sarkar from Madhya Pradesh won the first place in Physically Challenged category.

Sadly Sunit Jadhav (Current Mr India ) could not participate in the competition. He had come with all the preparation, however due to an hamstring injury, he could not take part and had to pull out at the last moment just before the event. Audience was disappointed as they had come to see the current champion on stage. From the time he was down watching the event, till the time he left the ground, he was always surrounded by people trying to get a photo with the champ. IBBF felicitated him by calling on the stage during the event. He was clearly seen limping due the injury while walking up the stage. We wish him a speedy recovery and hope to see him back in action soon.

One of the highlight of the event was during the free posing routine of the top 10 bodybuilders. During the free posing round, the bodybuilders came down the stage into the audience to pose for them. This made the audience go crazy as everyone rushed to get a glimpse of the bodybuilders and grab a photograph. The audience was so thrilled by this gesture that they almost mobbed their favourite bodybuilder and organizers had to appeal to the people to let the bodybuilders get back on stage. It was a bodybuilding fans delight. If you are a bodybuilding fan but where not there to witness this event, then we must say you missed an golden opportunity.

The ever was very well planned and executed by IBBF and Svayambhu foundation. Although the event started a little late that the scheduled time, it all went as planned. The security arrangement was very good and organizers has also kept ambulances and fire brigade on standby to tackle any emergencies. It was pleasant to notice that the Shri Siddhart Shirole ( Founder of Svayambhu Foundation) was himself present quite early before the event to ensure that the preparations are as expected. The IBBF team was also present well before the even to ensure smooth functioning.

Padam Shree and Arjuna Awardee Mr Prem Chand Degra from IBBF was the chief guest at the event. He along with other dignitaries gave away the prizes to winners.
