23 Years Old Harshil Mutreja Wins Bronze medal at Amateur Olympia

The year 2016 ended on a rocking note. Our athletes performed exceptionally well and succeeded in winning several accolades at one of bodybuilding’s most coveted events – Olympia Amateur Asia 2016. Men’s Physique, Men’s Classic, Men’s Bodybuilding and Women Body Fitness are some of major the categories in which Indian athletes have raised the flag.  We already told you about how a Civil Engineer with Mumbai Metro, Iqbal Sayed, stepped onto the stage of Amateur Olympia Asia and grabbed Silver. Now, it is the time to praise and sing glory to our next champion, Harshil Mutreja who won Bronze for our country. With such promising performers at the forefront, the future of Indian Bodybuilding seems really bright.

Harshil Mutreja’s journey and achievements

Yes, Harshil Mutreja became the youngest athlete to win a winning position at Olympia Amateur Asia. Born in the year 1993, Harshil is only 23 years old and has already created history with his memorable victory.

Harshil is not a new or an unknown name in the field. He has always been a part of popular bodybuilding events and has always managed to secure winning positions at esteemed events. In 2015, Harshil claimed the title of Junior Mr. India 2015, and Jr. Mr. Maharashtra 2015.

Needless to say, Harshil has definitely worked hard to get where he is. To be able to achieve such perfection at such a tender age is no easy task. This year, 250 participants made their way to Olympia Amateur Asia 2016 and of them, only 16 were representing India. Harshil was the flag bearer for us and everyone had great expectations from him and we are proud to say that he did not let us down.

After becoming the youngest Indian champ, Harshil expressed his joy by saying that it was the hallmark moment of his career. He was overwhelmed that all his efforts, scarifies and pain had finally paid off. The victory was a result of months of tireless training and precisely laid down regime. He also mentioned that the biggest contributor of his success were his friends and family who were always there to support him and motivate him when things got tough.

Harshil expressed his sentiments by saying that he was honored and proud to be able to win a medal for his country.

Harshil already enjoys a successful career as a fitness instructor, personal trainer and nutritionist. He has been personal coaching since the last 4 years and his clientele has some pretty big names like Yash Birla, and CEO of Communicate India, Akshaara Lalwani. With this victory, we are sure that his client list will only get longer.

We always feel proud while talking about the new generation of Indian bodybuilders as they are full of passion and possibilities. The profession is enjoying an all new popularity in the country and our performances are reaching all new heights at national and international events. We hope that more athletes like Iqbal Sayed and Harshil Mutreja step into this profession and inspire the masses with their journeys and achievements.
