Nestle states that Resource High Protein is ideal to have a protein rich breakfast that can keep you healthy, full for long and energetic all day. The product aids bone health, muscle strength, weight management and immunity strength. Let us dive into the product details and see how true Nestle Resource High Protein stands to its labelled claims.<\/p>\n

Nutrition Profile<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Nestle Resource High Protein offers 45 grams of pure grade protein per 100 grams (protein profile of a mere 45%). Out of the total 45 grams of protein, 78% is whey protein concentrate and 22% is casein, which are easy to digest and have highest bioavailabilities. The recommended serving size is 25 grams (3 scoops) to be taken with milk or water. Protein per serving therefore comes to 11.25 grams which to be frank, is not at all impressive.<\/p>\n

The product works better as a pre-workout shake however, you would need at least 2 servings to get significant amount of protein. It has not been fortified with BCAA, EAA, or Glutamine and hence lacks the essential elements a bodybuilding enthusiast seeks from a supplement post a heavy workout. Nestle has stated that the product is not a weight or size gainer. It is formulated to strengthen muscles by supplying it with protein. Other noticeable components are:<\/p>\n

The product does not have sugar (only 0.1%) but has artificial sweetener called maltodextrin. Overall the product seems to an okay health supplement with no extra ordinary or special components or figures.<\/p>\n

Taste<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Nestle Resource High Protein is available in delicious vanilla flavour. The product also has skimmed milk powder which probably, adds to its taste. The product has received positive reviews with respect to its taste. Users have called the taste as \u2018great\u2019, and \u2018excellent\u2019.<\/p>\n

The product does not mention anywhere that it is instantized however; users have not expressed any displeasure with its mixing. It is always advisable to avoid shakers and blenders as that causes frothing and you end up consuming a lot of air with the shake. The product is designed to provide a decent portion of your daily protein intake and that it does well. A couple of users stated that they have started feeling better after starting with the product. However, for bodybuilding enthusiasts, the results might not be that great. For athletes, per-serving protein content of this product is not impressive at all. Looking at the price range, we would suggest the bodybuilding enthusiasts to go for other more competent supplements.<\/p>\n

Nestle definitely comes with an assurance for good quality. The product comes with a tamperproof seal that eliminates all the possibilities of adulteration. The users have reacted positively towards the product quality.<\/p>\n

Side Effects<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

No side effects have been reported so far. No incidences of gastric disturbances or other allergic reactions have been reported. However, it needs to be noted that the product has skimmed milk powder and therefore may not be suitable for people with milk and lactose intolerance. If you are allergic to lactose or milk, then use it only after consulting with your physician.<\/p>\n

Price\/Value:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

This is the biggest drawback of the product. Nestle Resource High Protein comes with a really high price tag. It is available in a 400 gram jar that offers 16 servings only (one serving is 25 grams). This 400 gram pack costs around Rs 900 which brings cost per serving to around Rs. 56. You get a mere 11.25 grams of unfortified protein for Rs. 56 which is super-duper expensive. Nestle should consider either bringing down the price or increasing the protein content to make the product a good bang for the buck.<\/p>\n\r\n\r\n
